NEW STRENGTH TRAINING/POWER LIFTING CLASS STARTS TODAY!!!
Are you an athlete? Do you love strength work - i.e. Squats, Deadlifts, and Presses? Want to do Strongman or Powerlifting events? Want to put on some size? How about add numbers to your Olympic lifts and augment your CrossFit training?
If you answered "yes" to any of these questions, then come and train with Coach Andrew on Mon/Tues/Wed/Thurs nights at 7pm at Hybrid. Whether you're a football player, a CrossFitter, a martial artist, or a soccer mom...chances are you could all benefit from a strength training program by a trained & qualified coach.
The Strength class will run at the same time as the 7pm CrossFit class, so don't worry CrossFitters, we're not getting rid of that class. It will focus on the classic strength building lifts (and their variations) - Deadlifts, Squats, and Presses - and classic strength focused rep schemes: lower reps (usually around 5 or fewer - but sometimes more) and HEAVY weight. We have some weight lifting belts, but if you have a belt of your own, bring it. You could also bring knee sleeves and wrist supports if you want. This class is NOT a body building class, but you will more than likely add size as well as strength - especially if you have not trained like this before. Bodybuilders and athletes train differently - we train athletes. Much in the same way our Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Muay Thai programs strip away all of the excess fluff of traditional martial arts (Tae Kwon Do, Karate, etc) and focus on functionality, this strength program does the same. There is no focus on individual body parts or cosmetic lifts , but the body working as a unit...gaining strength that you can transfer and utilize in any sport, skill, or life event. Wowzers, but how can I do this new class and still do Crossfit??

You would have to do CF at a different time...OR...alternate classes by days.
